Jennie Cortese of WILLCARE Receives Edna Lauterbach Member Of The Year Award


Middletown NY, November 2010 – Jennie Cortese, Administrator with WILLCARE, was selected to receive the prestigious Edna A. Lauterbach Member of the Year Award by the New York State Association of Health Care Providers, Inc. (HCP). This award was established to recognize an HCP member that has shown dedication and demonstrated excellence in furthering the goals and objectives of HCP.

Cortese was honored at HCP’s Annual Awards Luncheon on October 28, 2010, during the HCP Annual Home Care Management Conference at the Long Island Marriott Hotel in Uniondale NY. “Edna Lauterbach was a leader in home care and has been an inspiration to me,” Cortese acknowledged in her acceptance speech, “I am truly so honored to receive this year’s Edna Lauterbach Member of the Year Award.”

Cortese is very active in the Hudson Valley Home Care community. She is a Board Member and past President of the Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York State Association of Health Care Providers, President of the Dutchess County Home Care Association, Board Member of the Sullivan County Long Term Care Council, Board Member of the Orange County Senior Expo, and former Board member and Secretary of Community Health Care Services.

“I have a very strong passion and enthusiasm for home care! It is very rewarding to know that we help families and their loved ones remain at home where they most prefer to be.
