WILLCARE Expands Services In Niagara County

Buffalo NY, August 2011 – Local home health care provider WILLCARE has announced that it is expanding its reach in Niagara County. WILLCARE recently purchased the assets of Allstate Home Care after the company ceased operations in June 2011. Allstate employed 74 nurses and aides between its two branch offices in Niagara Falls and Williamsville, and most of those employees have since joined the WILLCARE team. Prior to closing, Allstate had been providing in-home nursing and home care aide services for over 100 patients in Erie and Niagara Counties. The majority of patients chose to transition to WILLCARE, allowing for seamless continuation of care.
As part of the purchase, WILLCARE assumed Allstate’s branch office locations, and will continue operations in Niagara Falls. WILLCARE plans to transition the operations of the Williamsville branch to their Buffalo headquarters over the next several months.  WILLCARE currently operates licensed and Medicare-certified home health care agencies in Western NY from its corporate headquarters at 346 Delaware Avenue in the City of Buffalo. WILLCARE employs over 2,000 people across its 13 branches, including locations in Western New York, Hudson Valley, Northeastern Ohio, and Connecticut.
“This was a strategic move for us. We were looking to expand our presence in Niagara County, and the Allstate purchase provided us with a base of operations in Niagara Falls as well as a great group of employees who have come on board with WILLCARE, “said Todd Brason, Chief Executive Officer for WILLCARE, “at the same time, Allstate’s patients will continue to receive care from the same nurses and aides that they have grown accustomed to.”  WILLCARE’s future plans include growing their patient base in Niagara County by offering the quality home care services they are known for in Erie County.
