Eileen Mishk Promoted To Administrator

Return To News & Press

Middletown NY, May 2013 - Home healthcare provider WILLCARE is pleased to announce that Eileen Mishk has been promoted to Administrator of their Private Duty Home Health Agency’s Hudson Valley branch.  In her new role, she will oversee the administrative operations of the branch, and will be responsible for the direction and supervision of the staff. The Hudson Valley branch includes offices in Middletown, Kingston, and Pleasant Valley, as well as recruitment centers in Monticello and New Paltz.

Eileen Mishk takes over the reins from Jennie Cortese, who had served as Administrator since 1998.  Cortese had been promoted to Director Of Private Duty Services for the entire company in December 2011, but had continued to fill the role of Administrator.  Eileen’s promotion will allow Cortese to re-focus on her role as Director of Private Duty Services.

“Eileen has been an  instrumental leader, and a huge part of all the successes of the Hudson Valley Private Duty branch,” said Cortese, “I have worked side by side with Eileen for over 20 years, and it is my sincere pleasure to continue to work with her in this new role.”

Eileen Mishk has been a Registered Nurse for the past thirty years.  She began her career as a charge nurse on a hospital Medical Surgical floor, where she worked for several years before making the move to home care nursing in 1989, when she joined Litson Health Care in the Hudson Valley as a Staff RN.  Working with patients in their homes quickly became her passion, and Eileen was soon asked to take on more responsibility, moving through the ranks as a Field Supervisor, Trainer, and Training Director.  Litson Health was acquired by WILLCARE in 1998, and the following year she was promoted to Director of Nursing, a role she filled successfully until her promotion to Administrator.     Eileen is an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and she currently serves as a legislative ambassador.  She also serves on the Professional Advisory Committee for the Orange/Sullivan County BOCES for the LPN and CNA programs.
