WILLCARE Selects Almost Family, Inc. To Continue Tradition Of Patient Centric Care For The Future Of Employees And Company


BUFFALO, N.Y. – February 25, 2015:  WILLCARE, a proprietary home health care company headquartered in Buffalo, NY, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell the stock of WILLCARE to Almost Family, Inc. (Nasdaq:AFAM).   Almost Family, is a leading regional provider of home health nursing services that operates a Medicare-certified segment and a personal care segment.  Post transaction, Almost Family will operate over 230 branches across 15 states with an annual net revenue rate expected to approach $600 million. 

Todd Brason, Founder and Chairman of WILLCARE, commented, “As we evaluated a variety of potential partners, we carefully selected Almost Family to entrust the future of our employees, patients, referral sources and company given our similar values and culture.”  He added, “Almost Families' tradition of being an advocate for their patients and proven outcomes confirmed the fit.” 

Almost Family expects to close the Ohio portion of the transaction in early March, while the New York and Connecticut operations, subject to customary closing conditions and New York regulatory approval, are anticipated to close in the second half of 2015. Once the second transaction is approved and closed, Almost Family will operate WILLCARE under the WILLCARE brand.
